It's the place Paul called “home” for over 3 years, and one which he'll always have fond memories of when it comes to the photographic opportunities made available to him. Knowing his way round the city this well means he can focus most of his energy on helping you get the shot you want, rather than location setups.
Shanghai's skyline is one of the most recognisable in the world and he'll be helping you to capture that special view with your own equipment. With discussion every day on filters, locations and considerations for cityscape photography, you'll leave with images that show off your skills at their very best.
Having access to certain unique locations, we'll be working with locals as well as some of his “old friends” from the city to ensure we get the best possible views of this amazing place.
5 Day Workshop – Locations
Our starting point will be on The Bund.
From there, we'll be photographing the full range of modern cityscapes as well as dramatic sunsets and sunrises over the towers that make Shanghai so special. Key locations will include the 9-Dragon Interchange, The Bund, Shanghai Tower, Lujiazui District and Nanpu Bridge. Night-time shooting is essential in Shanghai, and we'll be guiding you through the key settings and camera setups to use in order to capture the city at its best. Together as a group, we'll be experimenting with different setups as well as involving everyone in the planning process and working on post-processing techniques during the day.
