Part of the United Kingdom’s Jurassic Coastline – a World Heritage Site, Durdle Door is a landmark which won’t be around forever. Granted, it will probably outlast my lifetime, but with each and every year the erosion to the rock makes it an ever-changing coastal feature.
Landslides plague this area of Dorset, the latest one losing a huge chunk of the land just a few hundred meters from this very spot.
The water here is cold but clear and sunset on the pebble beach really is a colourful scene. It’s a shame though – beautiful blue water and such a landmark rock formation – they just don’t mix that well in the long-run…
