Shoot & Trip Planning

Arrive with a plan, custom built for the place, the light and the legals.

Saved pins are useful until several of them demand the same sunset, the road closes at dusk or the viewpoint turns out to require permission nobody mentioned. Photography trips become expensive remarkably quickly when the plan has been built from attractive pictures and optimism.

I will research the objective from a photographer's point of view and turn it into something workable on the ground. The service ranges from one specific shot to a complete multi-day route, with permit preparation available where formal access is part of the job.

How much needs planning?

Choose Get The Shot for one defined objective, Expedition Pro for a complete photographic journey or Permit Prep when approval is the barrier between the idea and the location.

01

Get the Shot

One photographic objective turned into a workable plan.

One location can involve far more than one decision. Light direction, access and local restrictions can change the viable window completely, while a single overlooked detail may waste the only morning you have.

Tell me the photograph you are trying to make. I will research the likely viewpoint and timing, then work through the access route and the equipment implications around it.

You receive a concise field plan and a private call to settle the condition-dependent choices. Useful alternatives are included, so the entire shoot does not collapse because the atmosphere has developed its own opinion.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

  • Research for one defined photographic objective and its immediate alternatives.
  • Recommended viewpoint and the strongest practical light window.
  • Access, parking, walking and known restriction notes.
  • A concise research pack, mapping links and a 45-minute private call.

£350

Delivered within seven working days.

After purchase, send the exact location or objective, your travel dates and any fixed equipment or mobility constraints. Purchase is subject to our Access Terms & Conditions(opens in new tab).

02

Expedition Pro

A complete photographic trip built around the work you want to create.

A productive photography trip needs a stronger structure than a route between famous viewpoints. Driving consumes useful light, several locations compete for the same conditions and one closure can unravel days of apparently sensible planning.

I will build the itinerary around your photographic priorities and the pace you can realistically sustain. Sunrise and sunset opportunities are balanced against travel and access, with decision points included for weather or closures.

The base package covers up to seven travel days and six principal shooting areas. You receive an itinerary designed for use in the field, supported by mapping links and a 75-minute handover call before you travel.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

  • A discovery call covering style, priorities, pace and fixed bookings.
  • Day-by-day shooting priorities with route and access notes.
  • Accommodation-area guidance and realistic travel timing.
  • A formatted field itinerary, mapping links and one reasonable revision.

£1250

Allow ten to fifteen working days after the discovery call.

The base package covers up to ten days and 8 principal shooting areas. Longer routes can be scoped and quoted before purchase. Purchase is subject to our Access Terms & Conditions(opens in new tab).

03

Permit Prep

Give your application the clarity a serious project deserves.

Permit applications often depend on how clearly the photography has been described. Usage, equipment and footprint all matter, while vague language tends to create more questions at precisely the point you need confidence.

I will research the likely approval route and help assemble the application material. The finished pack explains the project accurately, identifies the supporting evidence and gives you a clean submission checklist.

You remain the applicant and the authority controls the decision. My role is to make sure the request arrives coherent, specific and properly prepared.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

  • Research into the likely authority, application route and published requirements.
  • Clear project wording covering purpose, intended use and photographic footprint.
  • A checklist for insurance, risk information and supporting material.
  • One prepared application pack and one reasonable response to authority feedback.

£350

Delivery is agreed around the published application deadline.

The standard product covers one location and one application route. Complex commercial productions or several authorities can be quoted separately. Purchase is subject to our Access Terms & Conditions(opens in new tab).

The shot you came for might not be there. A better one will be.

Good planning protects your time without pretending to control the weather. You arrive knowing which decisions matter, what can change and where the strongest alternatives sit.

QUESTIONS

Can you guarantee the conditions?

No. The plan identifies the strongest window and gives you useful choices when the weather changes.
