What a night this was – I got three shots that I love from one trip down to the base of Treasure Island, the landform which the Bay Bridge uses to join San Francisco to Oakland in California. Taken at three different stages of sunset, this is the midpoint, and a truly beautiful time of day.
The sun has just left the sky behind the city over the Pacific Ocean, and while I was originally planning to wait for the night scene of the city, I couldn’t believe what happened next. The sky just lit up like fire! What a view – and one I was truly lucky enough to witness with my camera next to me. Granted, I’ve always loved the San Francisco skyline and the shape of the Bay Bridge before it but this scene really did make me go “wow”…
…before I realised I’d have to climb up the hill again with all my kit!
